Jordan Mackampa – MARY | A COLORS SHOW
Ever since the release of his debut EP ‘Physics’ in 2016, Jordan Mackampa has captured the hearts of listeners with his textured, soul-stirring voice and brutally honest songwriting. Since then, he’s dropped a second project, ‘Tales From the Broken’, as well as his deeply emotive debut studio album ‘Foreigner’. His sophomore album, ‘Welcome Home, Kid!’, came out in February 2024, and features his most intimate and personal stories to date. Highlights include ‘PROUD OF YOU’, ‘I’VE FOUND MY HOME IN YOU’, and ‘BLACCJACK THE MAC’.
For COLORS Mackampa shares a heart-wrenching rendition of ‘MARY’, a stand out single from ‘Welcome Home, Kid!’. While backed by a soundscore of somber piano progressions and subtle drums, it’s Mackampa’s mesmerizing vocals that take center stage in this heart-wrenching ballad, which he employs to bare his soul and plead the titular character to allow him to mend the shattered threads of their love.
