Leicester five-piece, Easy Life, aren’t like any other band you’ve heard before, and last year’s ‘Creature Habits’ mixtape is the perfect encapsulation of their diverse and eclectic sound. From their clever wordplay and unforgiving delivery to their spirited storytelling, on tracks like ‘Pockets’ and ‘Ice Cream’, Easy Life have a crafted a sonic world that is truly their own. Most recently, the band impress once more with ‘Temporary Love’, a two-part track which further highlights their unique artistry.
For their COLORS performance, Easy Life serves up a delectable slice of summer with ‘OJPL’, which stands for Orange Juice and Pink Lemonade and is taken from their double-A side single ‘Frank’. A dazzling array of hazy guitar lines a la Mac de Marco and a sprinkling of piano melodies are driven by a head-nodder of a beat for lead vocalist Sam to lay down his brilliant vocals.
